RULES AND REGULATIONS

Administrative Office Hours: Monday – Friday / 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. / Saturday by appointment

Cemetery grounds are open from dawn until dusk.

Out of respect for the deceased souls and our sacred ground we ask that you adhere to these RULES AND REGULATIONS

Floral planting is allowed in an area up to 12 inches in front of the headstone and no wider than the headstone. The planting of trees, bushes, or shrubs (flowering or otherwise) is strictly PROHIBITED.

Statues or figurines are permitted ONLY if religious, if no more than 12” high, if resin or unbreakable, and only within the above noted planting area.

Balloons or breakable items ARE NOT permitted at the grave sites; in addition, any items that are inappropriate, not maintained, or found broken or dilapidated, will be discarded at the discretion of cemetery staff.

Edging is allowed only within the above noted planting area and only if sunken, flush to ground level. Fences or pickets are NOT ALLOWED.

ALL memorial markers MUST be approved by the Cemetery Staff.  Any temporary markers MUST be preapproved and are only allowed for one year after interment. 

Fresh holiday wreaths are allowed November 15 through March 15.

Pets ARE NOT allowed at any time. (ADA recognized service animals permitted.)

Loitering or any activity demeaning to the cemetery IS NOT allowed at any time.

Firearms ARE NOT allowed. (Except for military tribute ceremonies.)

Power equipment, including mowers and trimmers are NOT ALLOWED.  Please see staff for maintenance issues.

Alcoholic beverages ARE NOT to be consumed or left behind on cemetery property.

Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

MAUSOLEUMS

Photo ceramic portraits, vases and emblems must be purchased through and installed by the cemetery.

Fresh cut flowers ARE NOT permitted in/at the mausoleums, other than for a service.

Silk flowers, securely placed in installed vases, are permitted.  Please call our office at 262-639-1071 to inquire about our Flower Program or to purchase crypt/niche vases or emblems.

Items ARE NOT permitted to be attached in any way to crypt/niche fronts or placed on floor of mausoleum. In addition, items of any kind ARE NOT permitted around the exterior of mausoleums.

Any items not in compliance will be discarded at the discretion of cemetery staff.

GREEN BURIAL SITES

In keeping with the principle of minimum impact on the environment, NO individual grave markers or plantings will be permitted in the green burial area. 

CEMETERY CLEARING PERIODS

NOVEMBER 15 (All summer and patriotic decorations will be removed. Holiday decorations may be placed after Nov. 15th)

MARCH 15 (All winter and holiday decorations will be removed. Summer decorations may be placed after March 15th.)

 

The Racine Catholic Cemeteries are not responsible for damage or loss of property resulting from vandalism or theft.
The Racine Catholic Cemeteries reserve the right of final approval of any and all decorations, markers, planting, and other memorials placed within these cemeteries.

REGLAS Y REGULACIONES

La plantación floral está permitida en un área de hasta 12 pulgadas frente a la lápida y no más ancha que la lápida. La plantación de árboles, arbustos o arbustos (floración o de otro tipo) está estrictamente PROHIBIDA.  Los globos o artículos rompibles NO ESTÁN permitidos en las tumbas; Además, cualquier artículo que sea inapropiado, no mantenido o encontrado roto o en ruinas, será descartado a discreción del personal del cementerio.

Las estatuas o estatuillas están permitidas SOLO si son religiosas, si no tienen más de 12" de altura, si son de resina o irrompibles, y solo dentro del área de siembra mencionada anteriormente.

El borde está permitido solo dentro del área de siembra mencionada anteriormente y solo si está hundido, al ras del nivel del suelo. Las cercas o piquetes NO ESTÁN PERMITIDOS.

TODOS los marcadores conmemorativos DEBEN ser aprobados por el personal del cementerio.  Cualquier marcador temporal DEBE ser preaprobado y solo se permite durante un año después del entierro.

Se permiten coronas frescas deurante dias festivos del 15 de noviembre al 15 de marzo.

No se admiten mascotas en ningún momento. (Se permiten animales de servicio reconocidos por la ADA).

Merodear o cualquier actividad degradante al cementerio NO ESTÁ permitido en ningún momento.

Las armas de fuego NO están permitidas. (Excepto para ceremonias de tributo militar.).

El equipo de potencia, incluidas las cortadoras de césped y las recortadoras, NO ESTÁN PERMITIDOS.  Consulte al personal para problemas de mantenimiento.

Las bebidas alcohólicas NO deben consumirse ni dejarse en la propiedad del cementerio.

Los menores deben ir acompañados de un adulto.

 

MAUSOLEOS

Los retratos fotográficos de cerámica, jarrones y emblemas deben ser comprados e instalados por el cementerio.

Las flores frescas cortadas NO están permitidas en / en los mausoleos, excepto para un servicio.

Se permiten flores de seda, colocadas de forma segura en jarrones instalados.  Llame a nuestra oficina al 262-639-1071 para preguntar sobre nuestro Programa de Flores o para comprar jarrones o emblemas de cripta / nicho.

Los artículos NO están permitidos para ser unidos de ninguna manera a los frentes de cripta / nicho o colocados en el piso del mausoleo. Además, no se permiten artículos de ningún tipo alrededor del exterior de los mausoleos.

Cualquier artículo que no cumpla con los requisitos se descartará a discreción del personal del cementerio.

SITIOS DE ENTIERRO VERDES

De acuerdo con el principio de impacto mínimo en el medio ambiente, NO se permitirán marcadores de tumbas individuales o plantaciones en el área de entierro verde.

 

PERÍODOS DE LIMPIEZA DEL CEMENTERIO

15 DE NOVIEMBRE (Se retirarán todas las decoraciones de verano y patrióticas. Las decoraciones navideñas se pueden colocar después del 15 de noviembre)

15 DE MARZO (Se retirarán todas las decoraciones de invierno y vacaciones. Las decoraciones de verano se pueden colocar después del 15 de marzo).

 

Los Cementerios Católicos de Racine no son responsables de los daños o pérdidas de propiedad resultantes de vandalismo o robo.

Los Cementerios Católicos de Racine se reservan el derecho de aprobación final de todas y cada una de las decoraciones, marcadores, plantaciones y otros monumentos conmemorativos colocados dentro de estos cementerios.

BURIAL POLICIES

  • No grave will be opened until the cost of space, digging, and any assessments against the lot are paid in full.
  • Owners of burial rights may not sell those rights without the permission from and assistance of the Catholic Cemetery Association of Racine, Inc. Please contact our office for details.
  • The Catholic Cemetery Association of Racine Inc. does not repurchase graves, crypts, or niches.

MONUMENT POLICIES

  • Monuments/markers, including their plans, specifications and sites MUST, before placement, be first approved by the Catholic Cemetery Association of Racine, Inc.
  • Markers must be of granite and/or bronze composition of one piece, not less than 12 inches or over 30 inches in length for a single grave.
  • Monuments, base size up to 48 inches by 14 inches by 8 inches, with a maximum die height of 36 inches are allowed on side-by-side graves.
  • All two-piece monuments must be installed with a cemetery-approved foundation. BEFORE selecting such markers, please check with the Catholic Cemetery Association of Racine, Inc. for initial approval.
  • Notwithstanding the above, NO marker/monument shall be permitted which, by decision of the Catholic Cemetery Association of Racine Inc., is prejudicial to the general appearance of the cemetery/grounds.

MAUSOLEUM POLICIES

  • Payment made for the cost of the crypt does not include the entombment fee or the cost of lettering the crypt or niche front. Additional charges will be due the Catholic Cemetery Association of Racine Inc. for these services in accordance with rates prevailing at the time these services are rendered.
  • Owners of burial rights in a crypt may not sell those rights without the permission from and assistance of the Catholic Cemetery Association of Racine, Inc. Please contact our office for details.
  • All bodies must be embalmed in accordance with standards specified in Chapter HSS 136 of the Wisconsin of the Wisconsin Administrative Code, prior to entombment.
  • If the Catholic Cemetery Association, Inc. determines, in its sole discretion, that repairs are required involving any crypt in the cemetery, the Catholic Cemetery Association reserves and shall have the right to temporarily remove and re-entomb the remains of any person to another crypt until such time as repairs have been completed.

The Catholic Cemetery Association of Racine Inc. reserves the right to revise or amend these rules.
